Crestron Refit | Amarula Sun | 164' Trinity
A successful yacht digital audio-visual and environmental control system installation or upgrade demands technological sophistication, thoughtful design, detailed engineering, and sophisticated craftsmanship. Concord Marine Electronics’ experience and attention to every detail of yacht automation designed and delivered the plan, equipment, and finished product Amarula Sun, a 164’ Trinity, now takes to the oceans of the world. Concord, working with yacht owners and builders as a certified Crestron™ sales, installation, and service dealer, designed and installed the ultimate Digital Distributed Audio Video System.
Amarula Sun, cruising with Trinity superyacht global seakeeping capabilities, provides a warm and welcoming environment for family, friends, and guests, an environment which includes access to all our familiar entertainment and information options- streaming content from Netflix and others, access to onboard Kaleidescape™ video and audio libraries, communication services like Skype, even business-level conferencing suites.
Crestron™, the premier yacht audio-video, computer, IP, and environment control system, not only delivers audio and visual content throughout the vessel, on-demand to each area and fully customizable, but creates single-device control of each area’s light and environment. Raise the display and lower or adjust the window treatments? Control the lighting? All part of a well-designed and executed Crestron™ installation.
Amarula Sun refit shows off Concord’s technological sophistication, giving the yacht global satellite access to entertainment offerings through dual Intellian™ antennas and an audio and video library accessible in each stateroom in addition to the salon and other shared areas. Concord specifies and supplies each component in a system ensuring interoperability and the capacity for concurrent usage throughout the vessel- watching the Final Four in the salon while swiping through Netflix in the VIP shows each area’s total control over what’s on display.
Thoughtful design- not just the technical side, but the human side as well, making it easy for everyone to intuitively see the offerings and controls and adjust each space’s environment adds immeasurably to each moment. Whether it’s a crowd rooting for the home team or a quiet moment in a stateroom Crestron molds your space to fit the audience. A yacht entertainment system design shouldn’t just be about technology but about comfort, warmth, and mood as well. Concord designers work with the vessel team to ensure both technical excellence and user acceptance and enjoyment, down to configuring the iPad™ control system to make it easy for everyone on board to confidently serve up their perfect entertainment package.
Detailed engineering- AutoCAD provides the detailed installation plan, and supplies a permanent record of equipment locations, cable runs and specifications, power and cooling requirements, and an overview of the entire system. Concord engineering drawings make it easy for servicing and upgrade and all other future requirements. Concord’s partnership with Crestron™ Gold Programmers during the design and specification phase ensures complete matching of owner tastes and needs with delivery of content and services, a process where Concord builds on a history of design and installation excellence and the positive working arrangement with the vessel that only years of experience can create.
Sophisticated craftsmanship- Concord’s Amarula Sun Crestron™ installation plan and engineering became a complete vessel system through the hands and skills of trained, thoughtful, and experienced professionals. Handling and caring for exquisite interior furnishings and surfaces may not sound technical, but it is part of the job on the modern yacht. Respecting the plan and achieving visual symmetry up to the level of a modern yacht interior requires skills not documented on an AutoCAD™ drawing, but an eye for detail and respect for surroundings must be part of the modern installer’s skill set. Each cable termination, each run, each visible or invisible component needs careful attention to temperature, ease of use, service access, and professional, superyacht quality appearance. That’s something only experienced professionals deliver.
Concord’s team of designers, engineers, installers, and support representatives made Amarula Sun’s Crestron™ upgrade a reality. Combining tested and proven technology with a vision created between Crestron™, Concord, and the vessel owner and crew delivered a fully capable system that delivers exactly what the owner wants, wherever the yacht travels lead to.
